Classic Inca Trail Route Highlands
The route for the classic Inca unless undertaking the 2 day will always start at the Ollantaytambo at 82km above sea level. This is where the trail begins, after being dropped off by private vans will you show your permits and documentation in order to continue the ancient path.

Schedule
This is the schedule for our 4-day trek. If you are deviating from the classic due to fitness level, time restrictions, or extra experiences and additional sites this along with distance travelled will change slightly. However, as the classic route we will always meet up with the trail at some stage and continue the structure followed here. Day 1 : Cusco –
Ollantaytambo – Patallacta
Day 2: Patallacta – Llulluchapampa
Day 3: Llulluchapampa – Phuyupatamarca
Day 4: Phuyupatamarca – Machu Picchu – Cusco
The Trek is approx. 26miles (42km) long from the moment you start trekking until reaching Machu Picchu.

Inca Trail Highlights
One of the largest ancient sites on the trail with hundreds of housing structures and complex terrace systems. This impressive ruin is stated to be a ceremonial place which played host the urban and agricultural sector and the cemetery of this area. It is located at 2,800 meters of altitude. It was one of Hiram Bingham’s first rediscoveries in 1912 and studied many times after that noting its location was of astrological importance.
Sayacmarca and Runkurakay
Site that truly show off the technological and engineering feats of the Incas with their construction and uses of these sites. These sites offer magical views of the surrounding mountain ranges Vilcabamba and Pumasillo mountain ranges and the hidden valley.
Abra de Warmiwanusca (Dead Woman’s Pass)
One of 3 passes on the trek and the highest point you will elevate to at 4,215 meters above sea level (13,828 ft,).It is truly an accomplishment and will lead you to your first view of Cloud forest
