Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco/Km 104
Aguas Calientes
Early morning pick up to head to Ollantaytambo where you’ll be taking the train. It will be an enjoyable ride along beautiful landscapes. KM 104,an Inca trail checkpoint, will be our starting point. Here, you’ll meet the porters who’ll help you with the backpacks along the 6-hour trek. There will be a 4-hour steady ascent towards the Wiñaywayna ruins, where you’ll have time to enjoy your box lunch. Then, we’ll walk for one more hour to Machu Picchu and take the bus down to Aguas Calientes

Day 02: MACHU PICCHU
RETURN TO CUSCO
We wake up around 4:30am to eat breakfast and return up to Machupicchu for an extensive 2 ½ hour tour about Andean history and culture. Afterwards free time will be given to wander around the citadel or climb Huayna Picchu, the highest peaked mountain of Machu Picchu with even more Inca structures at the peak (we can help you book the mandatory tickets for this unforgettable hike in advance). Together, we will return to the Aguas Calientes by bus, where you can have your choice of restaurants for lunch. After lunch, we will take the afternoon train to Ollantaytambo and then the van back to Cusco.

TICKETS - PERMITS
We are one of the few tour operators authorized to both book your permits and operate on the Inca Trail. Permits are registered in your name with a specific date and cannot be modified after confirmation. Your tickets will be purchased by us, and looked after by your guide until the time they are needed. These include:

MEALS
We will make sure you enjoy a nutricional and tasty food on the way to Machu Picchu, surrounded by the spectacular mountains in Wiñay Wayna, a peaceful place. While dinner will be in the best restaurant in the town of Machu Picchu and the next morning you’ll enjoy breakfast at your hotel before returning to Machu Picchu.

HOTEL
Your accommodation at Aguas Caliente town is included at 3* Hotel including Hot Shower, wifi, with free store for your luggage, breakfast, etc. Is located 4 km from Machu Picchu Sanctuary, we will arrive in the afternoon after 8 hours of hiking the Inca Trail.

TRANSPORTATION
Your transportation from Cusco to and from this trek is included. You will be picked up directly from your hotel in Cusco to the Ollantaytambo . After your return riverside journey on the train, you will reach the train station, where you will be picked up by a van to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

FIRST AID
The night before your Machu Picchu hike, you can either come to our office or we can come to your hotel lobby for your briefing. During the briefing, you can also meet some of your fellow travelers that you will be with for the next couple of days. Your guides will explain the itinerary in detail
