INTRODUCTION
The Manu Biosphere Reserve is a sprawling national park in southeastern Peru that covers Andean highlands, cloud forests, and lowland jungle. Known for its rich biodiversity, Manu is home to hundreds of bird species, jaguars, black caimans, monkeys, and even indigenous tribes that have still not made contact with the outside world to this day. This 4-day/3-night tour takes you into the Manu cultural zone by boat. We will visit a mammal salt lick where we will watch animals gather, especially the tapir. We’ll also hike through the primary forest to observe different species of birds and monkeys and learn more about the forest flora. Get ready for the experience of a lifetime.
